Main Uses:
Cable lockout, also known as a single-unit villa hardware lock, is typically made of a steel lock body and a polypropylene handle. It’s constructed from highly wear-resistant stainless steel, making it strong, durable, eye-catching, and protected with an anti-rust coating.
The use of safety cable locks helps solve the problem of multiple people managing the same piece of machinery or pipeline. When a machine needs maintenance, the power supply must be completely disconnected and locked on the main switch to prevent accidental activation by others, which could endanger maintenance personnel.

Applications:
If only one person is performing maintenance, a regular padlock is usually enough to secure the main switch. However, when several people are working on the same equipment, a safety cable lock should be used. Each worker attaches their own padlock to the cable. After finishing their work, they remove their padlock—but the power source remains locked and cannot be turned on until all padlocks are removed.
This ensures that the machine or system cannot be restarted until every worker has safely left the work area.
In short, safety cable locks allow multiple employees to lock out a single machine or pipeline during maintenance. The equipment can only be reactivated after the last worker removes their lock, preventing accidental restarts and ensuring full safety control.
Precautions:
- Choose the correct main cable and do not mix different types.
- The self-locking device must be installed correctly on the upper roller (the protruding part).
- Before installation, remove the safety screw. Rotate the pawl shaft assembly counterclockwise to release it. After attaching the main cable, turn it clockwise to secure it, then tighten the safety screw (not too tightly).
- After installation, check whether the self-locking device moves smoothly up and down. If it does not, adjust the spring slightly.
- Test the lock 1–3 times to ensure it functions properly. If any issues occur, stop using it immediately. Do not modify or repair the device on your own. The safety rope must always be used together with the self-locking device.
