A ball valve lock is a type of flow control valve lockout device designed to easily shut off and secure any fluid or energy release. These locks are fire-resistant and compatible with corrosive chemicals such as dry chlorine and oxygen.
Operation Method of Adjustable Ball Valve Lock
- Turn the valve handle to the OFF position.
- Attach the top cover of the kit to the valve stem, securing both the valve body and the stem.
- Slide the lower base of the assembly onto the top cover and connect the two halves of the ball valve lock. In this step, the handle seals the lower and side portions of the valve.
- Press the two halves together tightly until the device is fully secured.
- Insert a safety padlock through the locking hole to secure the assembly.
- Ensure the valve handle is tightly sealed and cannot be moved.
Note: The small adjustable ball valve lock is equipped with a standard height-limit plate for valve handles. If the handle is thicker, the height-limit plate may be removed at the four pre-set breaking points using a screwdriver.
